Festival of Events at The Balmoral

August is festival month in Edinburgh and one of the best times to enjoy Europe's most beautiful city. Guests at Edinburgh's landmark Balmoral, as well as visitors to the city, can experience an exciting range of illuminating initiatives, designed to celebrate the world's most lively arts festival and ensure a memorable stay in Scotland's capital.

Recognised as the world's greatest celebration of the arts, approximately 1.8 million people attend festival events throughout the summer. The Balmoral's prime location and close proximity to the city's main theatres and venues guarantees its position as a perennial favourite with well-known personalities starring in the festival, as well as festival-goers hoping to catch a piece of the action.

Highlights at The Balmoral throughout the festival include:

The Shindig at The Balmoral
To celebrate its prestigious 'Icons of Scotland' award, The Balmoral's very own shindig showcases the best of Scotland's heritage, in the stunning Sir Walter Scott Suite overlooking Edinburgh Castle. The Shindig includes:
  • A sumptuous, four-course, Michelin-star dinner created by Jeff Bland
  • Traditional Scottish entertainment, including a ceilidh band
  • Whisky, tartan and bagpipes
Cost is £45 per person throughout August. Call Balmoral Events on: +44 131 622 8806 for further details.
