Edinburgh's landmark Balmoral Hotel is introducing a unique "Posh Picnics" service for its guests. Michelin-starred Executive Chef, Jeff Bland, will tailor a delicious feast of picnic delights, such as Haggis wantons, a selection of canapés, home-made sandwiches and pastries, The Balmoral's world-famous Afternoon Tea or chocolate-dipped strawberries with a bottle of Bollinger. He has also created three menu options, with delicacies such as traditional salmon with capers and lemon, roast fillet of beef, Italian marinated vegetables with olives, and Scottish strawberries with cream.

The Balmoral's "Posh Picnics" team will ensure that all essential items are packed, including a Balmoral blanket, to guarantee the ultimate luxury picnic experience.

This personalised service is launched as The Balmoral enters its peak summer season, with many overseas guests and visitors expected to arrive in the city over the next few weeks. The Balmoral's Concierge Team is on-hand to organise exclusive tours or to simply recommend the best picnic "hot-spots" in and around the city: favourites with The Balmoral's guests include Rosslyn Chapel and Arthur's Seat.

The "Posh Picnics" menu options start at £18.50 per person.
