Award-Winning Programme Extends to Babies and Teens
Following the resounding success of The Balmoral's unique "Five-star Kids" Programme, Sir Rocco Forte's Edinburgh landmark is extending this award-winning formula to Babies and Teenagers.
The Balmoral, which launched its "Five-star Kids" Programme one year ago, has witnessed a steady rise in families staying at the hotel, including a 30 per cent increase during the Half-Term and Easter Holidays. This unique programme recently won The Balmoral a prestigious Scottish Thistle Award within the Marketing Initiative category; the hotel introduced a range of innovative marketing tools to "wow" its younger guests (aged three-12), with a view to dispel the myth that five-star hotels are stuffy and unapproachable. Favourite highlights of this programme include customised robes and slippers for children, Balmoral-branded ducks and dedicated children's menus.
In a bid to take this unique Programme to the next level, The Balmoral is now targeting babies (aged up to two years old) and teenagers (13-18 years old), in order to provide the highest levels of personalised service to meet the needs of all children visiting the hotel.
As any parent is aware, there are many accessories to consider when travelling with a young baby, and The Balmoral will provide the essentials to ensure absolute comfort for parents and babies. At the other end of the spectrum, teenagers often feel bored when travelling with their parents, and the dedicated "Five-star Teens" Programme is designed to ensure that both teenagers - and their parents - enjoy their own "Balmoral Experience".
The hotel's General Manager, Debbie Taylor, who has two young sons herself, has set the highest standards in children's hospitality within Scotland's tourism industry.
